Isha Evans, Eco Detective

The Case of the Missing Pumpkin

When five-year-old Willow’s jack-o’-lantern goes missing from the neighborhood forest, she’s convinced someone stole it. But science-minded fifth grader Isha Evans knows better: the pumpkin decomposed.

Their search for answers leads to a bigger mystery – paint cans dumped in Foggy Creek Forest, poisoning the soil and trees. Now Isha, Willow, and her brother Jed must solve the case and help save their beloved woods.

This fast-paced environmental mystery combines real STEM concepts with an engaging whodunit that shows how kids can make a difference in their community.

I write mysteries and adventures that make math and science exciting. Before becoming an author, I was a teacher, forest school founder, and director of after school and summer programs. I love nature as much as Isha Evans, the protagonist of my first series! And I love baking as much as Mira, the main character of my upcoming series, Mira’s Math Adventures. I’ve even worked in a restaurant kitchen making pastries and taught baking classes for kids. I’m the proud mom of identical twins who love science experiments, math puzzles, and chapter books.
